The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a time of renewal, celebration, and tradition. This cherished festival marks the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar, bringing the end of winter and the blossoming of spring.

It spans from Chinese New Year's Eve, the evening before the first day of the new year, to the radiant Lantern Festival on the 15th day. This year, the festivities welcome the Year of the Snake, beginning on the new moon that appears between 21st January and 20th February.
